Unless we lose 3-0 and York beat NFU 7-0 yes. Ooops just realised its FGR not NFU so I think we are safe.

I'd prefer it to be mathematical, but I'm confident even we can keep hold of a 9 goal swing. Now, get McCarthy gone and half of this squad. That, unfortunately, is the only way we're going to go into next season without already being doomed. The eternal optimist gets real ,at last !

I hope the journalist doesn't ask any probing questions. Anything other than waxing praise on the 'fight back' will be met with anger and resistance.

Unless he states the obvious and owns up to the fact he's not a proper manager, I have no interest in his post match thoughts.

I've accepted since Woking that there's no way back for Jon. You can't argue with our form, it's appalling. I just won't indulge in all the cringe-worthy hysteria about how awful our football club is.

They are sure to rest players with the play offs in mind and their position within them all but guaranteed. It's hard to see that kind of result though.

As Cyrille Regis said to me when I was fortunate enough to be in the stands watching us lose, :'With football there always the next game'. Stating the obvious but so true. Roll on next season.

Here comes the interview highlights: We easily won the last ten minutes. All being equal, we controlled the game then and if the pitch had been better we could have done it all through the game. I tool our best player off (Shaw) because he's had a busy season and was tired, but we didn't need him because the defence was so much on top. I didn't hear any dissent from the supporters, so it shows that the complaints are only coming from a couple of cyber warriors who never come to home matches anyway. That means, of course, that the vast majority of supporters agree with me that the tactics I've employed all during 2017 are correct, so I'll be repeating them next season, no matter which league we're in. I have the full backing of the board, who have as much idea as I do as to how to run a football club. Now, no more probing questions please, because I still won't answer them.

Looked predictably aghast and shocked when asked whether he had considered his own position. Interestingly, he blamed the 'minority' for that question being asked.
I really do think he's losing touch with reality. He must know the crowd have turned?

Reaction to that interview - wow. Just wow.
He's on another planet entirely, this isn't good for anybody. Our dithering board need to do the right thing. They dithered over Burr and they're dithering again.
I'm amazed that he was taken aback by the question about his future. There's no minority who want you out Macca, it's everybody.
Sharpes carried him through the early months and since then, the results have reflected his limited managerial abilities.
This cannot go on.

The most annoying thing is that he cant accept how poor we are. Keeps saying the team has done great. 50 pts is a terrible target, its like saying well we've been relegated on 50 pts but the season is a success because we reached our aim.

First time I've watched one of his post match interviews in full, as I wanted to see if he made any comment about his future. Obviously any manager with his recent run of results would be questioning whether or not they were the right man for the job.
Apparently not - Mission accomplished and a shock line of questioning, thanks to the meddling minority daring to question his tactical nous and managerial capabilities.
With an attitude so detached from reality, at least there's little need to worry about another long battle against relegation next season - We'll have it sewn up by Xmas.
