The south stand will only have about 300 in unless we get a lot of latecomers ect 🔵 Due to increased sales for today's fixture, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 is available in the 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬 this afternoon. 🔗 We strongly recommend purchasing tickets online in advance at chesterfc.com/tickets.

I'm a season ticket holder but can't make it today (gutted), so presumably that's one off the attendance.

Well I’ve got two season tickets for the Harry Mac and have only been to one home game this season and we sat in the Talbot stand for that one so there.

Interesting to read that approximately 30% of season ticket holders don’t turn up for games on average.
So although the attendance was perhaps lower than expected, the gate receipts would’ve been higher.

So although the attendance was perhaps lower than expected, the gate receipts would’ve been higher. Jim may pop up here himself at some point but he responded to me on twitter about it. Nearly 4,000 tickets sold and the current restricted capacity is 4,300, although apparently due to be lifted further soon.
Combination of season ticket holders not turning up and segregation. 240ish school season tickets in the West Stand, bit of a guessing game as to whether they will turn up or not, by all accounts do get used well and a very worthwhile scheme week in week out but some schools seemingly sign up but then don't use them. Some exiles (Our group is strong and large, stronger than most) buy a season ticket as a goodwill gesture (brilliant) but do technically occupy a seat in the ground they won't be using which is a bit of a handicap on days like today.

So let’s say roughly 3,900 tickets sold for the game including existing season ticket holders.
Unsure how many season ticket holders there actually are now (including free kids, and the schools tickets which are four people per school). No guarantee they were all used - certainly I’d bet not every school season ticket will be used every game. We also have exiled STH’s who just buy one to help the club financially but can’t always attend.
At least we can’t argue with the attendance figures these days due to the barcode scanner method.

Whilst it’s disappointing we couldn’t make ground on them a draw is alright I guess
Keeps their poor form going, no wins for over a month now, we do need to get back to winning ways ourselves though

Not much non here about the actual game.
Shouldn't we have had a penalty in the 68th minute when one of theirs blocked a shot with his arm?

Not a penalty for me. I thought his arm was close to his body and he had no chance of moving it away. Then again, I don't think most of those are penalties but they seem to be given more often now.

I wonder if on games that could potentially sell out, a season ticket holder can be permitted to void their ticket, thereby releasing the space back to the club for general sale.

Yep. I'm a season ticket holder on holiday. Sent a message to the club before I left and again a couple of days before the match. I suggested that someone could take my place on the Harry Mac. Win win Al round but no one replied. Used the 'contact us' on club website.

Win win Al round but no one replied. Used the 'contact us' on club website. I know the idea has been discussed among the Exiles. In reality it's not an issue unless we have a cup run (so not an issue at all🥲). No harm getting a system in place, though. Pretty sure most st holders would be happy to give up and unused seat.
