The board are part of the problem. They've idley let this drag on week after week. It's very damaging.
I question them as much as McCarthy.

Needs to go, he's not going to turn it around and we suddenly start playing football. The players look clueless today and we need to get someone in before its too late because if we lose next Saturday we have a hill to climb already

Fully agree, they know the fans are fuming with the goings on but are burying there heads in the sand. No wins in 19 now at home. Absolutely embarrassing. This is pantomime will continue till someone on the board grows a pair and shows McCarthy the door.

No shape - No commitment - Clueless Manager
And he said we are in a far better position than this time last year. Another ridiculous comment.
One way Taxi for Macca -

That performance was embarrassing.the man does not have a clue we never actually pass the ball to our own players we kind of move toward the player amd let them have the ball when they are under pressure .im sorry but he has to go he doesn't inspire anybody amd im sure he thinks joyce is a world beater .i have watched every game in this disgusting run and we have never looked like winning .

No strikers or not, that was terrible. Comfortably turned over by a very average Macc who could have won by a lot more.
Akintunde obviously fit enough to be on the bench then put on the left wing and Astles up front.
Something has to give.

The squad is top 10 quality but our manager is Ryman League quality. That's the problem we are faced with. Paul Cox or Marcus Bignot please. Get in contact with either now and have them lined up ready.

That was special. Even for McCarthy. Astles upfront to win headers and a centre forward left wing 30 yards away. Utter ****. He has to **** off. If he doesn't go soon we will go down.

People say McCarthy is a nice and decent bloke - let's see him prove it by resigning instead of stealing a wage off us.

Former board members snapping out and saying enough is enough tonight tells you all you need to know. A decision is coming.
Surely?

I notice Steve Watson is Maccs assistant manager - I wonder how things would have turned out had we appointed him when he applied for the managers job.

To be honest, his media ramblings and his tone with journalists who dare to question his appaling record have made me wonder whether he actually is the 'nice guy' we have him down for.
He's had his chance, the board need to do what they are elected to do and make a decision.

He should have gone with Burr. Cheapskate board gave him the job because he was the cheap option. No doubt got iwelumo because he was cheap. Gave McCarthy the job, AGAIN, because he was cheap. Tom Shaw became Assistant because it was a cheap option.. undoubtedly a crap reason, but at least it is consistent. Why he got a two year extension God only knows. That's not going to work out as a cheap option when the dust has settled. He is still here for one reason, and we all know this. Someone has already said the board are complicit in this fiasco. How true. No doubt I have blasphemed for openly criticising McCarthy and the board once more. I'm waiting for the inevitable wrath from a certain member, and before he asks, NO, I won't be applying for a position on the board.

At any other club he would've been shown the door before the end of last season. Lovely bloke, but enough is enough. Football is a results business, not how nice a person is. Bring Bignot or Hill in!

I think the reaction of the fans at the end of the game tells you everything that you need to know. The fans want McCarthy OUT and action needs to be taken ideally before tomorrow night. It's us that own the club (and that applies to both CFU members and non-CFU members) and therefore the voices need to be heard. If action isn't taken then the fans lose confidence in those in the clubs hierarchy and then it could all turn rather bitter. The are elected by us to act on our behalf. No more pussy-footing around, it's time we cut ties with Jon. He has lost the fans permanently, he will never win them back. Clean slate for a new manager, brings belief back to the terraces, brings a few people through the turnstyle (you would hope) and most importantly, doing it now gives the new person in charge a great chance to not only achieve survival (an unbelievable word to use in August, I know!) but a chance to climb the division.

I actually thought the fans were relatively restrained for most of the game UNTIL THE FINAL WHISTLE when the floodgates opened and the OUT OUT OUT shouts rang out, almost as if the fans couldn't hold in their anger and frustration any longer. Maybe they were just numbed by the whole experience yet again but, in any case, if the board had any doubts about the strength of feeling of the fans, what happened today should dispel that view

That interview is jaw-dropping! He blows a gasket when asked about the winless run. His singling out of the reporter is completely out of order. I'm struggling to decide whether it's arrogance of the highest order or just plain old naivety that he's above questioning from the press. As predicted, he's going to dine out on the Aldershot result for as long as he possibly can. McCarthy out.

Not sure about Charlie but I know the likes of Shane and Dave Powell are lifelong Chester fans and it's plain disrespectful to speak to fans like that, especially given that they are just doing their job. To accuse a journo of having an agenda against the club is a shocking thing to suggest and doesn't do much for his nice guy image. I think he should apologise for those comments.

I actually think the press guys have been very restrained with their questions considering what they have had to witness this year. They are paid to report and ask the questions for the benefit of the fans. Macca is also clearly in denial about the poor home run and gets all upset whenever anyone questions him about it, which is flabbergasting really. I really don't know how it's all gone so wrong for him, he's lost the fans, the press and looking like he's lost the players.
