Some of you won’t be happy until every single one of them been put on death row and been given their last meal Is that really an actual option? Changes the perspective, you’d think grown men could behave like responsible adults with so much at stake!

Some of you won’t be happy until every single one of them been put on death row and been given their last meal What a babyish remark. I think what most people actually want is for this lad and several others to learn from it. For him to be able to say in a few years "you know what, I was an idiot back then, but I'm a different person now" and mean it. That journey is going to be more difficult for him if he surrounds himself with apologists and people who think it's all a big laugh, and in the meantime he has to accept he's made his life harder for himself.

Personally I think his age is irrelevant, if you're old enough to think that smashing a coach window up is a good idea then you're old enough to deal with the consequences. We don't need fans like that at our club.

We don't need fans like that at our club. The punishment was enough. Too far showing a video of a 17 year old kid all around the internet

I've seen Craneflies more hench.

He was convicted and was named and shamed in the media, I think that was enough, he's banned for 3 years and will no doubt learn from it, as he posted on Facebook he's gutted he'll miss the footy so probably not a "part time fan". But the police posting these images on the Internet is so unnecessary. People get convicted of way worse but never given this scrutiny, but it's football related so police want a witch hunt. No consistency.

To be fair there are convicted jailbirds playing and being idolised on the pitch so it would appear "it depends on the offender" Think former Watford player Think former Plymouth goalkeeper A convicted murderer was idolised in EastEnders. Not condoning the actions of the lad but it does appear your sins are more easily forgotten the more famous you are. Lee Hughes as well he murdered someone sorry manslaughter

This is unbelievable now, and i thought police exaggerated. how can anyone compare a lad who's not actually physically hurt anybody to high profile cases where the victims have lost thier lives and have been killed. In each offence I always think of the impact of victims and in this case its literally nothing compared to the incidents mentioned.

Where did my comment about Mancots brother in law go? No bringing people's family members into it please. Should be pretty obvious.

Just seems like listing footballers and Z-listers who have committed offences.

Lobster, I take your point that it is going away from the original thread purpose, I just find it galling that dependent on who you are your misdemeanors appear to be "forgotten" about more easily. They obviously won't have been forgotten about by the victims who then see these "stars" parading themselves on TV etc. I am not for one minute condoning the lads actions I just hope that if he is genuinely remorseful that at some point in his life he will get the chance to rebuild without this being a constant block in his career path. If he re-offends then stuff him!

Or blame the Board"

If he re-offends then stuff him! Are they forgotten about though? The first thing I think about when I hear Lee Hughes's name are his stupid and cowardly actions. He got reminded about it everywhere he played and he has to live with what he's done for the rest of his life. I suppose you could say he did his time, was given another chance and was lucky that was good enough at football to have been able to continue making a good living, but he probably didn't achieve what he would have in the game. It's up to this lad not to let his conviction define his life. If he becomes a fully reformed character, I'd like to think a decent employer would give him a second chance one day, but you have to accept that if you get a conviction you make your own life a lot harder and more limited.

Undoubtedly we will see more of this as more and more of the troublemakers are arrested, sentenced etc.
This thread is just going to go round in circles. Hopefully the videos etc prove a deterrent for other like-minded idiots going forwards; however the role of the police in football AND in society in general is historically not a good one and that’s never going to change.
