People who weren’t there chatting complete shit as usual.
Great game and performance. How about giving them some credit rather than slagging them off. Fantastic performance

Quality away day at a proper ground and club.
Fair result 2-2 in the end, felt like a playoff game at times and think we could be back there in a few months.
Proud of the lads.
Shame Phil Hughes on Twitter thinks we’re shite every week.

Does anyone know how many times Stanway has been booked. Is he nearing a suspension?

Cracking day that. Fans were unbelievable. The sending off kind of benefited Scunthorpe as it sometimes does. Taylor lost possession again in the run up to their second goal and I personally don't think he justifies his place in the team. We held our own against the best funded team in our division. Great to be at a ex league ground etc

Didn’t think we missed Weeks too much and great to see Thomas come back. How Taylor gets a place in the squad never mind a start is beyond me. Doesn’t seem to give a toss - can’t be arsed to defend and gives us nothing in attack either - shadow of former self. Get Heywood in and get Taylor out on loan to free up some dosh to beef up midfield.

The old guy berating the steward for not removing the flares & then all us Chester fans giving him loads of stick was a personal highlight of mine today.
Quick mention on the game, really entertaining, would have taken a point before the game kicked off to be fair so not to disappointed. Murray, Whitehouse, Stanway Roberts & Tollitt were all excellent, everyone else was solid apart from Taylor who really was utter garbage.
We made an absolute tonne of noise all game & contributed to the highest ever attendance in that league. Why their fans who invaded the pitch when they scored & spat on our players weren't removed I'll never know.

So glad we don't have players like that. Really don't blame Whitehouse for pushing Whitehall to the ground when he fell yet again on edge of box ( but he shouldn't have done it). Had no idea what happened next, how the 3 officials decided on the bookings was beyond me. Thought they had a good game although Whitehall should have been booked for diving in the penalty area. Scunthorpe fans I talked to say their team will have to be gotten rid of at the end of the season. All on megabucks. Which they can't afford. Plus they have no academy. If they don't go up think they may struggle to get players for next season.

Murray was probably MOTM, ran his socks off, was at the heart of most good things we did and got the shit kicked out of him as well. I continue to be impressed with Woodthorpe though, who ran him close IMO. Very calm and composed and has slotted in perfectly. Had to put up with a dozy Taylor in front of him as well.
Oh, and please tell me somebody from Cheshire Police was there to witness how a football match should be policed. Minimal presence despite the crowd and occasion and guess what, bar a few on both sides who got over excited at the end, nothing happened. Both sets of fans easily mingling with a fair bit of respect for each others efforts. Imagine if we got 7,000, they would be all over it like a rash, frothing at the mouth at the prospect of being able to cart somebody away.

Wasn't so friendly on the walk back into town when the local yokels seemed to fit to pick on a load of kids. Same prick in a light blue "stoney" who invaded the pitch when they scored. Was a good point in the end, their equaliser was a beauty. Agree with some of the comments about Joel Taylor though. He looks very out of sorts, and both Scunthorpe goals came from that. Murray was exceptional, and Tollit is brilliant with the ball. MOM for me though was Nathan Woodthorpe. Some signing that lad.

I would try and push the boat out to sign Tollitt for next season Exactly the kind of quality you need to get out of this division and stabilise in the league above. If the lad can stay fit he is FL standard

Trying to intimidate people as usual. Straight off the train they were there and in the ground just eyeballing people. A young lad who was pissed out his mind and weighed 4st was pinned down and dealt with way over the top when he could’ve been removed with minimum fuss. Surpised nobody has mentioned the fact Scunthorpe put the price of a pint up to £5 for us when it’s normally £4. Complete disgrace and shouldn’t be able to get away with it, just because we brought a bigger following. All this shite about welcoming us all week then blatantly ripping us off. Wrote it on a pathetic piece of cardboard too.
