Nothing new to report really. Same old garbage. New right back was MOTM simply as he was the best of a bad bunch and better than Halls. Rowe Turner set the tone by hacking the ball out for a corner from 40 yards away, and lo and behold they score from a free header from the corner. Chronic lack of pace and legs throughout the team. Lynch and Astles too fat. McCombe is finished as a footballer....when an experienced centre half starts letting it bounce rather than sticking his head on it then it says to me he can no longer put his body on the line, and he also looks in pain when he runs. White is the new Rapley, second touch is always a tackle. Zanzala ran about like a headless chicken. James was beyond bad. Shaw at least looked like he gave a damn but he was bad too. I was amazed we scored as we just don't create any periods of pressure of look like we know how to construct an attack. There is no movement whatsoever, every time we took it out of defence there was nobody clever enough to find the pockets of space. The reality is that there is not 4 worse teams than us in this league, and it's looking like its our turn this year. I feel for Bignot who has inherited this mess and hasn't got the finance to change things enough to keep us up. The players need to take a long hard look at themselves. I wonder who's turn it is to come and say how much they care and how we will turn it around......I don't wanna hear it. 3 points is an absolute must on Tuesday.

Where do you start with that today? This team is a disgrace to the shirt and those that worked so hard to get us to where we are. LRT should never play for the club again. Complete liability and costing us goals week in week out. Turnbull and james two players who have come with good reputations and they're playing like NWC players. Terrible. White awful. And don't get me started on wage thief Chappel. That first half was abysmal. Get rid of the lot of them.

Two new signings could be in the squad for Tuesday night says Bignot in his post match press conference. Let's hope it's a winger and a defender. Where's the money coming from?

It was shocking and just so very Chester. I said to my old man "watch them score from this" and then it happened, just so predictable. That's not on Bignot, how can he control that sort of error and then control somebody neglecting to pick up their man on the corner. It's stuff like that that makes us stick out like a sore thumb as a strong relegation candidate. Errors at the back and low scoring.......we're doomed!

Other than giving it a go for the last 15 minutes, today was very poor and utterly depressing to watch. Others can give the details, but this team has no pace, width, creativity, movement, energy or quality. None of the summer signings have delivered anywhere near a consistently acceptable level of performance. And words fail me when you see the likes of Chappell being retained. It is very frustrating that it was blatantly obvious from April what would happen if McCarthy was allowed to stay on and recruit, and yet many of those happy to let Jon carry on, still run the Club. In fact this entirely avoidable shambles is turning out to be far worse than expected, and the Club is an increasingly difficult position - Just look at the dismal attendance today. Yet, having just seen the sports page of the Chronicle I see there are still some who are happy to defend McCarthy and bemoan the belated removal of "Nice Guy Macca". You really couldn’t make it up.

Rowe-Turner, Dawson, Chappell, White...with the likes of them in your side stealing a wage what hope do you have? Against Maidenhead, Rowe Turner bombing up the wing, pinging in crosses in a Man of the Match performance. Great team performance, a new era had started. How come the wheels came off again so fast? Possibly because Maidenhead were crap and we got over excited about beating them.

Surely the biggest problem that requires addressing is the pathetic static midfield. No pace, can't pass, can't tackle, don't cross the halfway line to support forwards, don't give the defence any cover and get out played every week. Needs some pace and height in there with a lot more backbone which we also lack at the moment. Forwards can't be criticised as they get absolutely no decent passes and are just chasing 80 yard hoofs up the field from Astle and McCombe

Says something when the highlights of today were the late appearance of Rio . . . to a quick chant, lol; and that big black bird diving around between the Harry Mac and the main stand . . . crow or jackdaw?

Very hard to watch today. The game/performance was as dismal as the weather was. Not one of our players can go home saying ‘I’ve worked hard today’ because the mentality of that was depressing. The same old useless passes, backpasses and defending cost us again. Meanwhile, at the other end of the pitch we just can’t score. Ok, Bell’s finish was pretty good but we can hardly carve out any chances at all. We have slept walked into the relegation zone and it seems harder by the week to kick on and get something. As Hannibal has said, we still have 30-odd matches to go but it’s like we have almost ran out already. We are in for a long, hard 6 months. 3 points on Tuesday is a necessity now!!!! We must beat Barrow, albeit with a very low crowd again. Poor old Bignot having to work with this ‘’shower’’ 😔.

It actually offends me that my hard earned money has been paying Jordan Chappell's wages for getting on three seasons now. A total indictment of the club that he's been given contract extensions TWICE. The lad can't even impersonate a footballer. I'm confident he won't be seen in a Chester shirt again after today. Terminate his contract already.

I never ever want to see Chappel and Dawson in a Blue and white shirt after their disgraceful performance today. Absolutely abysmal once again from both of them.

It really does look depressing. Inability to defend or score or create. The elementary mistakes, Halls back pass v Woking and Rowe Turners 40 year back pass for a corner, from which they duly scored, will be the things that take us down. The best you could hope for, is some more personnel. Try to make us organised. Play Bell and Zanzala for their height and strength and merely learn to attack and defend set pieces, (eg, Pulis), because this squad completely lacks the quality to play football, at this level. Worst squad since we reformed. Truly terrible.

Watching this team is like watching old men playing walking football, except the old timers are quicker. Why do we never show movement off the ball and always look so slow, unfit and cumbersome compared to other teams.
