Labour released two documents before June 8th. The first containing their policies and the second containing the costs of implementing them. As the BBC’s Laura Kuenssber tweeted “ none of labour’s proposed nationalisations have numbers against them in manifesto costings “ The tax increases are hugely flawed also. We all want social justice but labour’s manifesto is simply wishful thinking. It’s nonsense, dangerous and legally impossible. It would destroy business and destroy jobs. I hope for your sake that your mathematical acumen is better than that of Diane Abbott !! I am not going to pretend I know enough about politics and the history of politics to even make an argument against a lot of the informed posts on here. But to suggest that Labours manifesto didn't add up because Laura Kuennsberg tweeted that it wouldn't is simply laughable. This is the same woman that only this year was found guilty by the BBC trust of breaking its impartiality rules which implied that Corbyn was against the use of firearms on terrorists, in fact the answer he gave was edited from a completely different question. She then went on to say that Corbyns stance against terrorism was the complete opposite of Theresa Mays.
As someone who pays for her wages, she should have been sacked from the BBC.

So, there's no magic money tree. Unless of course we need to throw a ten-figure sum Northern Ireland's way to keep the DUP sweet and cling on to power.

I feel I'm watching one of those dystopian dramas in which an unpopular political party bribes another small unpopular party to help keep them in power. It ignores all niceties, protocol, doesn't give a toss about other small parties, but goes ahead anyway. Surely this couldn't happen in real life?

So, there's no magic money tree. Unless of course we need to throw a ten-figure sum Northern Ireland's way to keep the DUP sweet and cling on to power. Indeed. Only a few weeks ago the Maybot told a nurse whose wages have fallen over the past 7 years that "there isn't a magic money tree that we can shake" - The May Money TreeAnd yet it turns out that she has lots of them and is shaking them for all they are worth to bribe the votes of 10 bigots with terrorist links. So the heroes of London Bridge and Grenfell Tower, the police and the firefighters who risked their lives to protect us, the off duty nurses and doctors that rushed to the local hospitals without being asked and who have all had real terms pay cuts under the Tories of upwards of 20% over the past 7 years are told to get stuffed, but to keep a weak and discredited prime minister in power and to create a coalition of chaos it would appears that money is no object. Nasty woman, nasty party, some things never change!

She's not nasty, she's f**king inept. Tend to agree that she's more incompetent than nasty. I wouldn't bracket her with Thatcher, for example, because she knew what she was doing. May just seems clueless and appears to be losing support by the day, and for that reason I hope they stick with her until the next election.

Can't see them doing that, she won't get another shot and they've now got 5 years to find an adequate replacement. I anticipate Hammond may be in with a shout or the woman from Scotland - can't see it being Boris as they'd view that as a risk.

A health expert says it's "entirely possible" that austerity and "miserly" healthcare and social care funding is affecting life expectancy
