Odd down in Hoole where Gill Watson was elected for Labour and now moved non-aligned.

"Parallel Universe" đ
𤣠đ The irony of an SNP MP talking about a parallel universe! Brilliant đđ¤Łđ

I always say this - MPs are not, despite what people say, overpaid. Sure, ÂŁ86K is a very comfortable salary, but it is a huge job if you take it seriously. Plus, two of them have been murdered in the last seven years.
They should get six-figure salaries, but be held fully accountable. No other little bits on the side. That way, we might actually get people who a passionate, skilled and dedicated to politics rather than the chancers, cowboys and thugs we've got now.
As for Lee Anderson, I think he's the product of a Conservative outreach campaign to find a bolshy ex-coalminer who will spout Tory bile and make it more relatable than if it came out the mouth of an Eton-educated toff. He's happy because he's making more money than he could ever have dreamed of, but he's too thick and ignorant to understand what he's doing.

Looking down the list I see Boris has honored the Parliamentary hairdresser. This from a man who looks like he's been dragged through a hedge backwards. Don't they have mirrors in Downing Street?

Ermmm yes. Obviously. You want to see more people murdered and more billions for weapons manufacturers? Proper weird. Get them over to Moscow ASAP to thrash something out with these two psychopaths đ¤Śđźââď¸đ¤Śđźââď¸.

Donât think thatâs high priority for most citizens is it? The cost of Tory greed crisis is the biggest issue and all noise coming out of Starmer camp is âmore of the sameâ sadly.

Starmer throwing children under the bus now, depriving them of food.
Very âgrown upâ.
Just a few days after mingling with top Tories at Rupert Murdochâs summer garden party too. We know who âSirâ Starmer represents and itâs certainly not average working people.

And theyâll do so again as whatâs the point of having Tory tribute act when you can get the real thing?

I think that's a myth that works under the assumption that everyone who visits the country comes here to see Buckingham Palace, which could still be there even without the Royals. They also own hundreds of thousands of acres of land throughout the country. What else could be done with that land?

The Royals donât bring the tourists. Itâs the buildings that do. Buckingham Palace and Windsor castle opened up fully for tourists (they donât use them anyway) ÂŁ30-40 for entrance etc and theyâd make 500mil gross a year between them. Let alone cafes, shops, extras. Imagine what we could do with that? They can keep Balmoral and Sandringham, both out in the sticks.

Isnât it a percentage of profits that the crown estate earns that he gets paid anyway? Dislike the idea of a royal family but financial reasons arenât really the main issue as to why they should be abolished. Iâd be siding with the fact that an us and them/elitist mentality that the monarchy represents is more of a reason for us to abolish the monarchy when we should be aiming for a better and fairer life for everyone in this country

Iâd be siding with the fact that an us and them/elitist mentality that the monarchy represents is more of a reason for us to abolish the monarchy when we should be aiming for a better and fairer life for everyone in this country The situation where Boris Johnson shut down parliament summed up why the situation needs to change, for me. To do that he had to get permission from The Queen, but The Queen couldn't say no because she was guided by parliament. Then it turned out that he did it illegally, so does that mean The Queen broke the law, even though she had no choice? It doesn't make sense. Apologists often argue that the Royals are benign and have no real power so the situation is not worth getting worked up about, but the problem is that we maintain the pretence that they do, and thus underhand behaviour can easily be given a Royal seal of approval, if you like. We mock the Americans for their unwaivering faith in their own constitution but at least they have one.

Lee Anderson, the Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party, has literally said some asylum seekers should "fuck off back to France".
I can accept differences in opinion on how we handle immigration and asylum seekers. But if the Prime Minister and the Conservative Party will not condemn that sort of language, I have no hesitation in branding them racists, far-right, and Nazis. Absolutely disgusting and shameful.
I'm sick of hearing odious, thick-as-mince twats like him tell us what "the British people" want. I encourage anyone concerned at the words politicians are using about other human beings to write their MP and register their disgust. That way, they can say in parliament that this is actually what their constituents are concerned about.

Careful calling them fascists, Wortley Blue will get in a strop about it. He clearly doesnât know what fascism is. It didnât start with the gas chambers, it ended with them.
The sad situation is Labour are absolutely not going to change the policies of this government, theyâve said so themselves. Just a ânicerâ face on evil policies.

Suppose when the main party offers absolutely eff all different to the current government it means the public vote for people who do đ¤ˇđťââď¸
