First one of these I've done.😀
Wasn't at the Fylde game but encouraged enough by the comments on the match thread to be very optimistic for a win on Saturday. Hopefully it will be the first win witnessed by my young lad ⚽️👍
Predicting a 2-0 win with goals from White and Akintunde. 2300 at.
C'mon you blues.

Chester 2-1 Halifax (Turnbull, Akintunde)
Attendance wise, if we managed 2200 with 200 Fylde, then with a few more Chester fans (with it being a Saturday) and about 300-400 Halifax, I'm going for 2581. Let's get that home win we need in front of a decent crowd in what will be a fiesty match.
COME ON YOU BLUES

Hopefully on Saturday we can finally get the belated home win which we are looking for. It won't be easy but I can see us winning in front of a very strong crowd again. Come on you blues! Score: Chester FC (Bell, Turnbull, Astles) 3-1 FC Halifax Town Attendance: 2,485 (407 FC Halifax Town) COYB!

4-0 really hope we do stuff them especially after the way some of there fans disrespected James Roberts on his return in the last home game we played them

I think on paper we're a better team than Halifax, but we must get the tactics right. We were shit scared of the Coasters in the 2nd half on Tuesday. We've got to introduce some boldness into our play and try to dominate weaker teams like Halifax, especially at home. 2-1 Bell and James 2,513.

Need 3 points on Saturday and McCarthy and the players must know that, so will be interesting to see how they cope with the expectation. First half on Tuesday Turnbull and James played some really neat stuff and were bossing the midfield but faded as the game went on, really want to see them take control of the game on Saturday. Chester 2-1 Halifax White, Turnbull Att: 2521 (398 away fans)

Another 1-1 draw in front of 2100, 1800 blues and around 300 mouth frothers I'd be heavily disappointed if that was the attendance. First Saturday of the season, would expect them to bring a good few hundred and us to have at least 2000 in the ground. We will see!

I expect us to win on Saturday (it's a game we simply have to win) and I'd be heavily disappointed if we don't get one.

Bell is a doubt for the Halifax match. Apparently he ended up in A&E after taking a knock to the face in the Fylde game.

All clubs have them unfortunately and I'd like to think lifetime bans would be issued to anyone caught making those sort of remarks to players doing their job.

Less than a year ago we scored 4 against Sutton, and 5 against Dover, and both without reply. Most people would agree that we have a stronger squad than twelve months ago, and I genuinely expected us to score 4 against Fylde, given the fact they are new to this level and that I fully expected a team having trained since June, and with a bloody big point to prove, would not run out of steam. Clearly wrong on all counts. I will be bitterly disappointed with anything less than a convincing win on Saturday and would hope to see 2400 minimum in attendance.

You can't just pluck out random scorelines from the past and use them to predict big wins as though you're applying some kind of mathematical formula. Every game is different. You remind me of kids in school saying things like "we beat them 1-0 and you lost to them 1-0, so that means we could beat you 2-0". Football doesn't work like that. As an example, later last season Sutton were only beaten 2-0 by Arsenal. Since we beat Sutton 4-0, does that mean you'd expect us to beat Arsenal?

I have just plucked scorelines out of the past, but only to show we have the potential, and that it happens from time to time. At no time did I make a prediction, as that's a folly reserved for the school kids you refer to. Classic statement that every game is different by the way. Talk about stating the bleedin' obvious. The rest of your point is of little value. My point was one of expectation and dominance in a game, as I am well aware that you can totally dominate some games and only win 1-0. By the way, wasn't it Wrexham that beat Arsenal?

The Arsenal team that defeated Sutton, with one exception wasn't a regular Arsenal team. It was mainly their fringe and development players.

In all fairness it was a ridiculous idea to do that silence in the first place. A hostile derby match, there was no way You can keep both sets of fans quiet for any length of time.
