Beginning to wonder if our current predicament struggling to beat the drop might see Kevin Nicholson emerge as a contender, given in successive years he pulled Torquay to safety. Sure I read somewhere that he was reported to have applied for it. Not saying he'd be my choice or that he'd actually get the job, just got a hunch he could make the shortlist. I know he's just been at Torquay but I don't think he's an exclusively southern manager in the mound of the likes of Garry Hill, given several of the clubs Nicholson played for were in the midlands or north and he presumably therefore has contacts beyond just the South-West. I don't know where he's based though. Kev is from the Derbyshire area

Bignot, Barrow, Money or Redfearn. Four quality options who I'd be delighted with no matter who was chosen. Just shows how much the club has progressed since Macca was appointed as our shortlist then was the likes of Reid, Moore etc!

I think geography might rule Money out but it would be great to hear "Dicky Dosh's Blue and White Army" at the ground!

Redfearn did ok as Leeds manager and he's presumably got some decent contacts, but his record at clubs more comparable to Chester concerns me. His real strength seems to be youth development, something he did well when at Leeds.

Richard Money is the most qualified candidate for the job IMO. The most successful in this league. Surely that's all we need to go on when selecting the manager?
